It's still really popular in Japan but it's now pretty niche in the west. Cyber Sleuth did generate enough interest in the franchise though for Digimon games to be localized again.

I have to mention: here in Finland we got the original Digimon anime (and 02) uncensored :scared:
(unlike Pokemon, which came through US)

Though there was the dub...
Old Finnish cartoon dubs are notorious (and few new ones much better). This being small country and language area, the budgets are low and there's only so many professional voice actors (or any actors).
Yet with Digimon happened something not seen with anything else: the dub was so bad that the broadcasting switched to another studio after few first episodes. The rest of it was tolerable.
