Prepaid versus Contract

Post by Cassieboo » 4 months ago

Which method do you prefer?

I have family that loves doing contract because they think they are getting a "great deal" on the phones they only have to pay $10 a month on. I personally prefer prepaid and just buying the phone out right :D

Prepaid seems to be the cheaper option. The only way that contract is remotely cost-efficient is if you like phones that cost nearly a thousand dollars and have numerous family members on a plan.

Prepaid is much better, let me tell you. Don't ever go with Sprint, we switched from them because they kept jacking up the price on our contract. They also tricked my girlfriend's father into opening another line, that no one was using to "save money". Plus we got the shittiest signal possible, and we're now on a pay as you go family plan. Never once have I had issues with the signal on my new phone/plan. Yeah I had to get a new phone, but it introduced me to using a iPhone and I quite like it. The plan we're on is called "total family wireless" and I think it's part of Verizon's service...

Yeah, Boost uses Sprint towers. It's pretty awful, but meh, it works.

Why would you want a phone that's tied to a specific SIM anyways... paying for a phone and then getting your own SIM is literally the only way I'd go.
