Dreams and Nightmares

Post by slooroo » 1 month ago

So one thing I think about a lot is the various dreams and nightmares I've had throughout my life. In my adulthood I don't remember my dreams very often anymore. My last dream was me simply going to The Netherlands. As a child however I had very vivid nightmares that would wake me up in such terrors I would lock myself in the bathroom for hours on end until I could calm down enough. How often does everyone else here remember dreams and nightmares?

Dreams and Nightmares

I always tend to remember the nightmares than the good dreams, sadly. I have a nightmare I remember vividly from when I was eight or nine years old. The only nightmares I manage to forget easily are the ones that are all part of one of my major anxieties/phobias caused from hearing stuff I shouldn't as a child. The entire genre of nightmares is easily more or less forgotten, in details at least. It's mostly the weirder ones and outliers I remember.

I haven't had a nightmare in a long time humorously enough. All of my dreams now are pretty boring and mundane usually.

I've wondered if adulthood makes dreams less vivid. I feel like my strongest dreams were in childhood.

I don't usually remember my dreams.

I remember some nightmares scaring me bad as a kid and sleeping in my parents bed. Once in a while I have one and sometimes they're freak me out. Usually just normal weird dreams. Used to keep a dream journal and try to find the meanings back in like middle school or high school.

I still have mine. I think I poked at it some time. If I recall some very odd dreams in there. But some inspired stories too.
