So who on this forum has a job and actually likes it? I have a job but I'm rather apathetic about it. I'll be seeking a new career pretty soon though I can't say whether it'll be better or not.

It depends on what you call a job. I have a job that I consider a job, but the magazine doesn't earn money yet- though we're working to fix that. But to my dad, it's not a job, just a hobby. So it really depends a lot on the factors that make it a job.

I just got a new job as a paraprofessional/substitute teacher at an elementary school that I used to work at. I'm very excited about it!

I considered teaching and I could easily get a job at it. The issue is I hate kids so I considered high school but I kind of hate teenagers too.

That does present a problem.

I like education as a field and do believe in teaching the future generations but most kids and teens royally annoy me.

I have a friend who hated teenagers so much in the past, he noted he hated all teenagers including us because we were in high school. Somehow this reminded me of that o.o;

I like my current job, it's much better than my previous job. (I worked at Walmart for 6 years prior to working at my current job.) I've only been with my current job for 5 months now, but on the 18th I get a dollar raise, and some vacation time too! I had to wait a whole year to get vacation hours at Walmart and they got rid of raises completely unless you moved up in the company. I'm already making more money starting here at my current job than what I made at Walmart. Some days it's quite boring at work, but hell if I'm getting paid to sweep the floors I don't mind. :lmao:

Good attitude honestly. Snobbery at work gets people nowhere. It's often noted in the army that the lowest ranked troops have more respect for generals who won't send people places the general himself would refuse to go.
