I read everything in English. In terms of author origin probably US, Britain, and Japan right now. I'm trying to expand myself into literature of other countries though. I should note when I say Japan I don't mean manga and light novels. I mean actual novels.

Not as much as I used to. Not because I dislike it but there's two factors I think.

1. I prefer reading physical over digital. This has issues because the best manga rarely has physical copies with English translation and I have to spend money on each issue.

2. My interest in novels and nonfiction has grown to the point I only read it for the most part.

Most of what I read is considered literary fiction though I read a little fantasy and sci fi but not a lot.

It's a strange definition but I'll try to explain. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and Battlefield Earth by L Ron Hubbard are both sci fi novels. Never Let Me Go however would generally be considered to have more merit as a powerful piece of art while Battlefield Earth was clearly written to appease the general masses who just wants a cheap thrill. If this sounds pretentious it sorta is but I use the term simply in that I get bored if I only read cheap thrills all the time. So I try to mix it up between more serious works and works meant to just entertain and nothing more.
