I don't think I could ever write such a thing... Wow.

All of Rand's books are about her philosophy of Objectivism. Both her fiction and non-fiction.

That's what Ayn Rand called her philosophy. We studied it a lot in high school due to a mix of my area being heavily Republican and because the Ayn Rand Institute offers a lot of incentives for students to read her works.

I see, so there's a special institution in your area for it. I don't think we ever even heard her name in my school years.

Ayn Rand Institute is nationwide and it's not local to my area. It just so happens most of Rand's ideals are pretty appealing to conservatives in the south except for her atheism but they ignore that.

It's pretty normal I think. Randian ideals became pretty popular with the Reagan and libertarian crowds. I figure in the coming years though a lot of it will be less influential. Rand was really only expanding on Nietzsche about like a billion other people.

What does Nietzsche mean again?

Friedrich Nietzsche, the philosopher who talked about ubermensch and such.
