What are your must-have apps?

Post by Juneberry » 3 months ago

Unless you're still stuck on a dumbphone, pretty much everyone has apps nowadays, right? But with so many kinds of apps and so many to choose from in different categories, finding your particular favorites can be pretty difficult at times! I don't know about you, but I tend to play around with a fair number of a specific kind of app and pick my favorites from there as I go. So... What are some of your must-have apps? And what are they for?

I have a lot of writing based apps, obviously- but my must haves are Lyric Notepad (though I use it for poetry) and WeNote for basic notes on just about any subject, including some for specific scheduled appointment. I also have an app for character and world-building prep, and one for randomizing names, places and other things I tend to need.

I also have a lot of 'self help' motivation/productivity sort of apps, including one merely called Habits and a gamifying task app called Level Up Life.

Besides those, my main must haves are a couple of games like TetroCrate and Stardew Valley, and some business based ones like Lyft and my two bank apps.

So what about you guys? What are your absolute necessities on your phone?

Let's see:

- Notes (I keep files of just various stuff)
- Gmail

Honestly there's not a ton I feel are most have. There were others but I don't use them as much as I used to. Plus I try to keep my phone a little lighter with apps.

Why do you keep it light on apps? *curious*

- Calm
- Bellabeat
- Fitbit
- Ferret Dash
- Float

We have tried to use Ibotta many times, but we've just never gotten in the habit. D; It seems like a nice tool.

At least most phones include a flashlight feature now so that you don't have to download shady flashlight apps that want access to everything on your phone for some reason.

Yeah I remember having to do it on one of my older phones. Though it did take me a while to figure out how to use it. XD
